red velvet
If you want to taste the best red velvet cake ever, you have to hit up Marita's Sweet Potato Pie Co. in San Leandro. No joke! Marc and I have been coming for a while for special occasions but we recently bought a quarter sheet and killed it in 3 days. Seriously! had red velvet cake for lunch and dinner..and I'm craving some more. Didn't get to take pictures of it myself but this was taken from their website: http://www.buylocalcampaign.com/maritasSweetPotatoPie/about.html

Lers Ros Thai
730 Larkin Street
We were going to Brenda's for some soul food but for some reason, they were closed on a Friday night! I guess there's always next time.
Yummy thai food for a great price (we spent under $25)! yeah you have to walk through the TL but this is awesome for me since they deliver for free (when i move to the TL in the fall). They gave us big portions and I basically ate the leftovers today (there's still enough left for another meal!) It was packed though so get ready to wait (we got lucky coz we beat the rush).
We got the duck curry, crab fried rice and of course thai iced tea and vietnamese coffee!

Thai Garden
We had the duck curry and grilled lamb to celebrate taking my first final. My only problem with this was we asked for medium for the duck curry but it was so spicy...so either they make their medium too spicy or the lady didn't get us what we asked for. At least they hooked it up with free chips!
